History

1987: The two graduate mechanical engineers Gerhard Kieser and Uwe Kirchenbauer launch the Kieser-Kirchenbauer GdbR engineering office.
They focus on planning and engineering work, at that time mainly for the nuclear research centre in Karlsruhe (Kernforschungszentrum Karlsruhe).

1989: Anlagenbau Kieser-Kirchenbauer GdbR launched. The engineering office's projects are realised here as the commercial part of the enterprise.

1990: A large and very experienced manufacturer of gloveboxes gives up. It took this step because of drops in investments by the German state in nuclear technology. For our still young company, an order placed for ten stainless steel gloveboxes as a result of an invitation to bid issued by the nuclear research centre in Karlsruhe was the occasion for entering into the commercial planning and production of gloveboxes.

1997: Takeover of Hilligardt Konstruktions GmbH. For 15 years, the company has been very actively involved with all issues relating to gloveboxes. As a result of this acquisition, the companies gain further access to specific know-how in nuclear technology, in particular further special and detailed knowledge and experience in the planning and production of gloveboxes and isolators.

1998: Fusion of the engineering office and Anlagenbau to form kiki Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH. kiki Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH essentially has two product groups: on the one hand, automation in machine construction as a system supplier in handling and gripper technology and, on the other hand, production of gloveboxes and isolations for research and industry.

2000: Healthy growth allows us to move to our own company building in Malsch near Karlsruhe in the year 2000. Here, we have created the general conditions for further successful development of the company group.

2006: GS GLOVEBOX Systemtechnik GmbH comes into being as a result of a name change by Hilligardt Konstruktions GmbH. This company concentrates over 25 years of experience with the theory and production of gloveboxes and isolators.

2009: The GS GLOVEBOX Systemtechnik GmbH and kiki Ingenieurgesellschaft mbH companies – both of them still under the management of the company founders – see themselves excellently equipped for the challenges of the future and look forward to many more successful years.
